Mary Ruth was founder Aerryel White-Clarke's maternal grandmother. She taught Aerryel's mother to sew, and years later, her mother passed that gift to Aerryel.
Although Aerryel never had the opportunity to meet Mary Ruth, creating alongside her mother connects her to the woman who began that creative tradition.
